How
to get to the Old Chapel
There
are two main routes to The Old Chapel, if travelling from outside
Cornwall.
You can
turn off the main A30 trunk road signposted to Wadebridge and North
Cornish coast, onto the A39 heading west, and keep going through Camelford,
until you see signs for Chapel Amble on the right.
We have
found it more easy to stay on the A30 a little longer and turn off
this road into Bodmin. Travel through Bodmin (you will see an ASDA
supermarket, you may as well get groceries etc. here if you're not
in too much of a hurry to arrive!)
From
Bodmin, take the A389 towards Wadebridge. Instead of turning left
to Wadebridge and Egloshayle, bear right, up the hill and turn right
at the roundabout, towards Bude on the A39.
Within
a mile, take a left to Chapel Amble and stay on that road. As you
enter the village, you will see the Maltsters Public House on your
right and the Post Ofice in front of you. The Old Chapel is up to
the right of, and just behind, the Post Ofiice.
There
are 2 parking places at the back of the Chapel, immediately to the
right of the line of Bamboo grass.
